Welcome to Lakeshore Goldens. My goal is to produce healthy, well structured Goldens that will work well in the field, obedience and conformation rings, and especially be a great family companion. I strive to produce a true Golden Retriever temperament, while always keeping in mind versatility. All my puppies are very well socialized with children, adults, and older dogs. They are born and raised in my family home and are ready to fit nicely into your household to make a great companion. Annie is OFA certified for heart (SAS), thyroid, hips and elbows. She has been examined by a Board certified ophthalmologist and has CERF numbers. Before her, her mom, Nikka was OFA certified for hips, eyes certified through CERF, and thyroid cleared. I am a hobby breeder of quality AKC golden retrievers, breeding quality - NOT QUANTITY - usually only one litter every 2 or more years is planned.

I do NOT take breeding lightly. We assure you that a puppy from our home will grow up to be long lived, healthy, and a faithful companion. All the time I spend individually with each and every litter guarantees you'll go home with a well-socialized puppy to love forever! Every golden retriever who obtains clearances is NOT always worthy of having a litter of puppies. Temperament and personality is a very important aspect that helps determine whether or not a golden retriever will fit into my breeding program. My goal is to produce golden retriever puppies that possess the appearance, soundness, temperament, natural ability and personality that is reflected in the standard of the breed and to do all possible to advance and promote the perfection of those qualities.

The Golden Retriever is the most versatile of all breeds. They are very devoted to the family as well as being extraordinary in conformation, the hunt or in obedience training and agility. They are strong and powerfully built but posses a gentle and affectionate disposition and a superior intelligence. Goldens are gentle, patient and will tolerate the roughhousing of small children. They are exceptionally quick to learn and obey the rules of the house. In recent years Goldens have become a popular breed used as Seeing Eye Dogs for the Blind, narcotics and bomb detection dogs, and especially for search and rescue. They are as beautiful as they are smart with a full lustrous coat, which only requires regular brushing with no trimming. When you add all of these together, it is easy to see why the Goldens have won the hearts of dog lovers everywhere.

We take great pride in producing happy, healthy puppies that are intelligent, eager to please and have wonderful temperaments.  Our main goal is to provide families, as well as individuals with a puppy that will become a treasured family member for all the years of it's life!
